– 12.8%-credit to the EIB guaranteed by the administrative-territorial units (the
shareholders).
The project comprises 23 contracts of which: 15 contracts of works, 2 product
supply contracts, 2 supply contracts with service provision, 3 service contracts for
technical assistance, 1 service contract for the project audit. All 23 contracts of
the Cluj/S˘ alaj project were completed within the deadline, i.e. 30.06.2016. In total,
303 km of water and sewerage networks were rehabilitated or constructed of which
92 km of water supply networks, 91 km of extensions for water supply networks.
The program also included the modernization of Vâr¸ sol¸ t WTP (Fig. 6.7) and the
modernization of 3 water catchment systems. The payments of the external debt are
made from the company’s own sources (net profit) and the final term for repayment
of credit is the year 2028 [3].
The second part of this program included a complementary project called “Improvement of water supply and sewerage systems in the Cluj-S˘ alaj area within the
allocations available from the Cohesion Fund—Axis 1 SOP ENV 2007–2013”. This
complementary project was financed from the savings achieved within the first
project, and it included 7 contracts, of which: 4 contracts of various site works,
1 technical assistance service contract, 1 advertising service contract, 1 service contract for the project audit. All 7 contracts of the Cluj-S˘ alaj project were completed
within the deadline, i.e. 30.06.2016.
The works were conducted between 2015 and 2016 and were aimed at:
– rehabilitation of water supply pipelines (from the catchment area to the Grigorescu
pumping station) in Cluj-Napoca municipality;
