supramolecular vesicles could be used to load doxorubicin hydrochloride. SAINTbased supramolecular vesicles showed responsiveness to multiple stimuli types,
including pH-, Ca
2+ -, and thermal stimuli. Stimuli-triggered morphology conversion
was observed. As being heated to T m , supramolecular vesicles could fuse to form
very large vesicles of about 3 μm. Jiang et al. designed disulfide-linked
benzimidazolium amphiphilic molecule and used it to assemble supramolecular
vesicles with WP6 [30]. Authors used TEM and small-angle XRD to characterize
supramolecular vesicles. These supramolecular vesicles showed responsiveness to
five stimuli types, including pH, CO 2 , Zn
2+ ions, glutathione, and hexanediamine.
All the above supramolecular vesicle designs demonstrated that host-guest chemistry was a powerful tool to construct complex self-assembly systems and introduce
