Places; Academic/Educational places; Mega Exhibitions; Places of Cultural, Social
and Religious Events, etc.
6 Conclusion
Basic sanitation is the need of every human being and is therefore getting so much
importance in various international as well as national developmental programmes
such as Sustainable Development Goal, Swachh Bharat Mission, etc., in order to
restrict the associated health risk due to poor sanitation. And, to fulfil this agenda,
the foremost requirement is the installation of the requisite numbers of urinals–
toilets at the appropriate locations and equally important is to keep it clean, so as
to promote its usability. And thus, upkeep and cleanliness of the sanitation facility
will increase its usability and is the only alternative to make the country opendefecation free, rather than just increasing the number of urinals–toilets. The CSIRNEERI innovations ‘NEERFLUSH’ and ‘NEERSWACHH’ will offer a cheap and
affordable alternative to meet these objectives, as it overcomes the limitations and
drawbacks of the existing technologies available in the market. The results obtained
from user perception study conducted after installation of ‘NEERFLUSH’ show the
wider acceptance and satisfaction about the ‘NEERFLUSH’ technology amongst
