4. Drag and drop or select files in the same way as described
above.
3.5.4 Others
If you need to send other files besides the raw data, peak list, and
search results, you can add them in the others category following
the same procedure as described above.
3.6 Submission
of the Files
Next, the users can access the “Upload files” in the project navigation section (Fig. 7). Users can check the file they have just added to
the list. Click the “Upload files” button to start sending the files to
the jPOST server. The average file transmission speed from Japan is
approximately 9 MB/s and about 5 MB/s from other countries.
When the upload is complete, click the “Confirm” button in the
project navigation section.
3.7 Condition
for Submission
If the user proceeds according to this chapter, he/she should have
fulfilled the conditions for the project submission and have passed
all the checks. Therefore, “Submit this project” will be displayed in
green letters. If there is not enough information, “Can’t submit
this project.” will be displayed in red.
The conditions for project submission are as follows:
1. Raw data file.
2. Peak list file (in the case of “complete submission,” it has been
described later).
3. Search results file.
4. Species information (included in the sample preset).
5. Modification information (included in the Enzyme/Mod.
preset).
6. Instrument information (included in the MS mode preset).
3.8 Selection
of Submission Types
There are two types of project submissions, including “Partial
submission” and “Complete submission.” Submission types are
defined by HUPO (see Note 1). For more information, please see
the PX Consortium guidelines (http://www.proteomexchange.
org/docs/guidelines_px.pdf).
3.9 Registration
of Correspondence
Between Files
In the case of “Complete submission,” the user needs to register
the correspondence between the files (if the user selects “Partial
submission,” he/she needs to proceed to the next section “Lock
the project and complete the submission work”).
1. Select “Complete submission” and click the “Input additional
information for complete submission” button that appears
underneath it (window to register the correspondence opens).
