10.3 SpringerMaterials
SpringerMaterials is a so-called electronic bookshelf, which incorporates a group
of databases in material science, physics, chemistry, and engineering. The book
series “Structure Data of Free Polyatomic Molecules” (see Sect. 10.1), implemented
in SpringerMaterials, presents results of more than 6000 structure determinations
(including redeterminations). The data retrievals are carried out using a simple graphical user interface. The search can be performed by means of identification data,
namely by sum formulae, chemical names, Chemical Abstracts Registry numbers,
and graphical structural formulae. About 1000 datasets from the recent update of this
book series (Vogt and Vogt 2019) have not yet been included in SpringerMaterials.
