Dr. Ryuhei Inamori received his Ph.D. from Tsukuba
University, Japan, and became a senior researcher at
Fukushima University. Dr. Inamori has simultaneously
served as the Vice President of the NPO Bio-Eco Technology Research Institute. Dr. Inamori’s current
research interests include water and waste treatment
technologies, eutrophication countermeasures, water
environment restoration technology, decentralized
wastewater treatment technology, energy recovery
from organic waste (biomass), environmental education,
bio-eco engineering, energy-saving technologies using
AOSD (Automatic Oxygen Supply Device) systems and
integrated watershed management, and using microcosms for environmental risk assessment. He has
received excellent paper awards from the Japan Society
on Water Treatment Biology.

Dr. Kunihiko Kakazu received his D.Sc.Tech. in
Biology for his research on the Development of Ecosystem Risk Assessment Methods using Microcosms from
Fukushima University, Japan. He became a researcher at
the Foundation for Advancement of International Science and has been undertaking studies on microcosms
and bio-eco engineering.
