Distribution

S. affine, S. feltiae, and S. intermedium inhabit mostly the grassland ecosystems [29, 31, 45].

S. kraussei occurs in deciduous forests, coniferous forests, and
grasslands [28, 46–48].

S. carpocapsae was found mainly near the soil surface [49].
l
Certain species of Heterorhabditidae family are widespread in
coastal sandy soils [31, 50, 51].
l
H. bacteriophora is widespread in turf and weedy habitats
[52, 53].
l
H. indica occurs mainly in calcareous sands [54].
l
Irish type of Heterorhabditis confined to the coastal areas of
Ireland and Britain are found in Central and Northern Europe
grasslands [55].
