Rudi Pretorius is an associate professor in the Department of Geography, Unisa. He recently
completed a Ph.D. in Geography focusing on the potential and role of Geography in education
for sustainability in the South African higher education context.
Melanie Nicolau is a full professor and the director of the School for Ecological and Human Sustainability, Unisa. She holds a Ph.D. in Geography and her present research focus is on post development sustainable practises to relieve poverty and inequality in rural South Africa.
