results indicate a consensus among all social groups about the low community
resilience against droughts and floods (Fig. 2).
The overall mean engineering resilience scores is lower compared to ecological
resilience for all groups. Engineering resilience scores ranged between 1.6 and 2.1,
with the aggregated mean scores in drought-prone locations being 1.8, and in floodprone communities being 1.9. The differences in mean resilience scores are minor
between age groups, although elderly men scores are higher compared to elderly
women, and young adults in both drought- and flood-prone communities. Much like
