Prof. Dr. Michael von Hauff is Professor of Economics at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. He
studied Economics at the Augusta State University/
Georgia, USA, and at the Universities of Stuttgart and
Constance. He received his PhD in 1977. In 2003, he
was a guest lecturer at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and since 2004 he has been a
visiting professor at the Institute of Economics/Yangon
Myanmar. Moreover, he is a member of several national
and international organizations, including the European
Academy of Sciences and Arts. In 2009, he was
awarded the German Environmental Prize for his scientific achievements in favour of the topic of sustainable
development. In a ranking of the FAZ and a research
institute, von Hauff was among the 100 most important
German economists. This year he has his 30th research
anniversary on India. Therefore, he is one of the best
known experts on India in Germany. His latest books on

Dr. Abdullahi Nafiu Zadawais is Lecturer at the
Department of Quantity Surveying, School of Environmental Technology, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, Nigeria. He obtained a BTech in Quantity
Surveying from ATBU Bauchi, Nigeria. He also
obtained a master’s and a PhD in Project Management
from Universiti Sains Malaysia. He is a Nigerian member of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors and a graduate
member of the Nigerian Institute of management. His
research interest includes procurement management,
project management, and also environmental
management.
