Acknowledgements
Research projects in general but even more so microgravity research projects are
the results of the joint efforts and dedicated work of people of multiple disciplines.
We thank the numerous technicians, engineers, people from space agencies,
astronauts and cosmonauts, university students, and scientists involved in the compilation of concepts, in the development and testing of experiment hardware, and in
all the different phases of ground-based research projects and spaceflight missions.
Scientific success of such complex missions is only possible when each step is
perfectly organized and thoroughly executed like smoothly interlocking gearwheels.
Unforgettable experiences and events and long-lasting friendships are our personal
invaluable gains. We wish to express our sincere thanks to the teams of Airbus
Defense and Space, Bremen and Friedrichshafen, OHB System AG (including
former Kayser-Threde), DLR Moraba, Swedish Space Corporation SSC, NASA,
ESA, Roskosmos, TsSKB Progress and the Institute for Biomedical Problems
IBMP, Chinese Technology Center for Space Utilization CSU, Chinese Manned
Space Agency CMSA, and Zentrum für angewandte Raumfahrttechnologie und
Mikrogravitation (ZARM). In particular, we acknowledge the support of the ESA
and DLR project management teams and the funding of many projects provided
by DLR Space Administration (German Aerospace Center) on behalf of the
Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie (BMWi).
