With the main objective of producing improved seeds, the first Clonal Seed
Orchard (CSO) of A. angustifolia from Argentina is being installed since 2015 in
Manuel Belgrano Forest Station. It also functions as a genetic bank of the species
for conservation purposes. The genotypes that constitute this CSO correspond to the
best female and male individuals of a phenotypic ranking, which includes all the
selections made up to the present. The propagation of genotypes was carried out by
grafting, using sprouts from primary branches with an orthotropic tendency as scions (Fig. 15.11c). The technique of full apical insertion was used on 2-year-old
