Chile (Nahuelbuta Cordillera) (37.2°S–38.4°S) (Veblen 1982). The relatively small
geographic range of the species is constrained by complex topographic, climate and
vegetation gradients oriented west-east across the Andes (Kitzberger 2013). As a
result, the species occurs in a range of environments varying from Mediterranean
