Miscanthus as a rhizomatous C 4 perennial grass with low maintenance,
rapid CO 2 absorption, significant carbon sequestration, and high biomass
yield characteristics has been regarded as a dedicated energy crop for biofuels production, especially in Europe and North America (Ge et al., 2016;
