Cu may need to be increased to prevent Cu deficiency. The maximum tolerable
concentration of Fe for cattle and poultry diet has been estimated at 1000 mg Fe/kg,
for pigs at 3000 mg/kg (Szkoda et al. 2004).
Concentrations of Fe in the animals depend on the kind of tissue and the specimen (Table 23.3).
