A Cu:Mo ratio of 2:1 or less can cause severe interference with Cu absorption and
result in the Cu deficiency. Soil ingestion, due to overgrazing, may affect an excess
of Cd, Zn, and Ca, and can cause Cu deficiencies in cattle.
Concentration of Cu in animal body varies depending on the environment and
tissue species (Table 14.4).
