4.6.2.2 Vaan Island (submerged artificial reefs)
There is a rich content of coral structure available near the Vaan and
Koswari Islands (8.83639°N, 78.21047°E). Coral reefs are often known as
the rainforests of the sea. It is known to hâve high productivity in coastlines. The protective measures are planned in such a way that the structure
should minimize wave impacts particularly storms such as cyclones as well
as serve as a suitable substrate for natural coral recruitment. Hence, once
the Coral recruits are attached in this platform in the future, due to its
