3 Results and Discussion
3.1 Océanographie Setting
In Table 1 monthly averages of current velocity and direction at 244- and 390-m
depth are summarized. For the whole period the average was 4.27 cm s'1 306°N at
244 m and 5 cm s'1 337°N at 390 m. Ail the records show a strong corrélation, especially those of current meters at 390 m and 579 m, which exhibit very similar pat30
