Inventaire et organisation des données et métadonnées de la diversité
biologique faunistique marine en Algérie
Résumé:
La présente étude porte sur l’établissement d’un inventaire global de la biodiversité faunistique marine
de l’Algérie structurée au sein de treize embranchements taxonomiques « Mollusques, Crustacés,
Arthropodes, Cnidaires… » et à différents niveaux « super classe, classe, infra classe, sous classe, super
ordre, ordre, sub ordre, super famille, famille, sub famille, genre, sub genre, espèce ». Une analyse
comparative de l’importance de la biodiversité faunistique de la côte algérienne par rapport à
l’inventaire de la faune marine méditerranéenne a été également réalisée. La base de donné qui structure
l’ensemble de ces éléments concernant la diversité faunistique marine de l’Algérie comprend également
un fichier « auteurs et spécialistes » de la biodiversité marine et un autre fichier « production
scientifique » relative à la diversité biologique algérienne. Enfin, une partie pratique a été réalisée dans
le cadre du présent travail portant sur l’identification et la caractérisation des mollusques benthiques
des substrats durs de l’île Plane, au large d’Oran, dans le secteur ouest de la côte algérienne. Les résultats
de cette partie peuvent être considérés comme originaux pour ce secteur et pour l’Algérie.

Abstract:
This study focuses on establishing a global inventory of marine fauna biodiversity of Algeria structured
within thirteen taxonomic branches "Molluscs, Crustaceans, Arthropods, Cnidarians and so on. In
addition, this classification will also consider the different levels in each of these branches ; namely,
super class, class, infra class, sub class, super order, order, sub order, super family, family, sub family,
kind, sub genus, species. A comparative analysis of the importance of fauna biodiversity on the Algerian
coastline compared to the inventory of Mediterranean marine fauna is also carried out. The database
that structures all the elements concerning the marine fauna diversity of Algeria also includes a dataset
that concerns "authors and specialists" on marine biodiversity in Algeria and their "scientific
production" on the Algerian biological diversity. Finally, a practical part was carried out within the
framework of the present study relating to the identification and the characterization of the benthic
molluscs of the hard substrates of the Plane Island, off Oran, in the western sector of the Algerian coast.
The results of this section can be considered as original for this sector and for Algeria.
