The beach of “Verte Rive” is one of the many beaches in Algiers affected by a
serious phenomenon of decline. Victim of its own success, it is noteworthy that in
recent years the Algerian coast has experienced urban growth as well as increased
anthropic activity. Nevertheless, the stakes are there, alongside the risk of marine
immersion of homes often located too close to the sea, stands a prospect of tourism
expansion along the Bay of Algiers. This work will deal with causes related to the
erosion phenomenon of this beach, and will propose solutions preserving this
heritage, as well as the infrastructures that are there.
