The sandy beaches of the Algerian coast is a perfect example of coastal environments where numerous exchanges
between the continent, the ocean and the atmosphere take place, where and whose sediment balance is controlled
by the combination of natural and anthropogenic factors. This study focuses on the site of Ain Tagourait Tipaza.
A numerical modeling exposes the instructions that we followed in order to study the propagation that well help
us to simulate the evolution of the coastline. In this paper, we specify sediment dynamics using a diachronic
analysis of changes in the position of the shore, using satellite images (2009, 2014, 2018 and 2020).
The objective of this brief is to protect the study site and to assess the effect of protective works on the historical
development of the coast line and on the morphological and morpho-dynamic characteristics of the coasts.
To be able to make a comparison between a Virgo state and an artificialized state the modeling tool MIKE 21
and the extension of Dsas of the software ArcGIS were used.
Key words: Beach, Ain Tagourait, coastline, protection structure, numerical modeling.
