DECOMPRESSION : systematic reduction of pressure during a diver’s
ascent. It is generally carried out by making stops according to a
predetermined schedule. Decompressîon sickness or bends occurs

pressure allows gases dissolved in the body uids and tissues to form
bubbles before teaching the lungs. The only Satisfactory remedy for
