designers with vital data. Tests show side and stem trawler models
on one—eighteenth scale being subjected to stormy conditions. The
models have been weighted to simulate extreme ‘icing—up’ such as
may occur in polar waters. A wave hits the boats (above) and ve
seconds later—21 seconds on full scale—the side trawler has
