Eat small fishes located by means of sight and
acoustico-lateralis system.
Extent of migration considerably wide.
Swimming movement quick.
An interesting aspect of this species is that fish swim near
the surface of waters exclusively and perform horizontal
movement only.
Coping with wave-motion caused by
flotsam, they approach the fiotsam and remain stationary
temporariiy around the flotsam.
Found in the waters of the central and southern parts of
Japan.
Caught by encircling gill nets and round haul nets.
Bulbus olfactorius iong oval and not adhered to lobus
olfactorius.
Lobus oliactorius large and consisting of four
parts.
Optic îobe egg-shaped and large.
Corpus cerebelli is T—shaped, well-developed and elongated
posteriorly. Eminentia granularis egg-shaped and expanded
laterally.
Crista cerebelli well—developed.
