silver-white with four to ten black stripes.
Live in the offing of ocean.
Swim in schools in upper and
middle waters.
Eat small marine animals such as fingerlings and juveniles
located by means of sight and auditory sense.
Extent of migration wide.
Swimming movement very quick.
Caught by round haul nets or ripples.
Found in the catchment area of Black Stream of the Pacific
Ocean.
Bulbus olfactorius small and closely adhered to lobus
oifactorius which is comparatively large.
Lobus opticus large but thrust out to both sides by anterior
part of corpus cerebelli which is unusually well-developed,
covering dorsal surface of lobus opticus.
Eminentia granularis and crista cerebelli well-developed.
