Remarks
According to Andres (1982), the rounded lst epimeral plate and the absence of teeth on the 1st
urosomal segment allow the easy identification
of the species from the congeneric species R. antarctica.
Distribution
An dres ( 1982) reports the locus typicus of the
species as the Antarctic Ocean ( 61 °29'S, 56°
20'W) at a depth of 325 m. In the Straits of Magellan, it was present only in the area ofPaso Ancho with a vertical depth range from 50-200 m
(St. 19).
