posterior margin of genital complex.
Distribution
L. aculeata has been reported from all oceans
including the Mediterranean Sea. This species
has a tropical distribution, although a few
specimens have been collected outside of
these waters (Heron and Damkaer 1978). It
has been reported also for the Antarctic
(Ramirez and Dinofrio 1976) and in Argentine
(Ramirez 1969) and Chilean (Wilson 1942)
waters. In the present study, the species was
sporadically present from 100-500m at two
stations in the Pacific area of the Straits of
Magellan.
