Sensor-elements are artificially aged and protected
against corrosion and oxidation. The sensitivity of the instrument depends on
temperature by about 0.2% per degree and must be taken into account (Fig.
6). The pyranometer is weatherproof and does not need special inspection.
The instrument is appropriate for routine actinometrical and meteorological
measurements, but is especially so for special investigations in atmospheric
physics, ecology, bioactinometry, forestry etc.
