In the Rhine Rivet sediments, the concentrations of particulate Pb increased from
[ [0 mg/kg at 6 cm depth to 490 mg/kg at 80 cm depth. In other river sediments, the
concentrations of particulate Pb varied between 100 and 220 mg/kg (Fig. 4.45).
