COMMENTS: Cottarelli & Mura (1973) reported that the population at the type locality may be
destroyed as a result of habitat alteration.

USA; northern Mexico (Maeda-Martinez, 1991).
COMMENTS: described as a subspecies of
T. platyurus, changed to species category by Moore
& Young (1964).
