Solutions - Nigrosin stock solution (50 mg nigrosinllOO ml balanced salt solution)
Procedure
1. Dilute the cell suspension 10-fold with nigrosin stock solution.
2. Place a drop of the cell suspension onto a slide glass, and put cover
glass over it.
3. Observe the cells under a microscope after 5-10 min .
• • Results
Only dead cells will stain dark.
