Schneider's Drosophila medium, modified Grace's medium, and MGM450 medium (see Appendix O.

1. Surface sterilize eggs of beetles by submersion in 70% ethanol for 5 min. Sterilization
2. Wash the eggs with sterile distilled water.
1. Transfer the eggs into physiological solution placed in the depression Dissection
of a Maximov slide.
2. Cut the chorion of the eggs, and squeeze the content of the eggs out
under a dissecting microscope.
3. Remove the yolk surrounding the embryos using needles.
4. Collect the embryos, and wash them with fresh physiological solution.
5. Transfer the embryos into culture medium.
