Microbiomass and Detritus in the Upper 50 m of the
Arabian Sea along the Coast of Africa and India during
the NE Monsoon 1964/65

This contribution is based on the results of plankton investigations, which were
carried out during the German participation in HOE with RV "Meteor".
The aim of this paper is to relate the amount of plankton and detritus in the upper
50 m of the coastal waters of the Arabian Sea off Africa and India to the hydrographical
conditions in this area during time of the NE monsoon.
