that grew after such felling ceased around 1950. The holm oak forest in the
Avic and Teula catchments has remained undisturbed since then (Lled6 et al.
1992), while in Torners it was thinned in the 1960s.
As in Montseny, our Prades experimental areas have been subject neither
to fire nor to grazing or browsing by domestic herbivores for decades.
