Diarylheterocycles Have a Central 6-Membered Pyridine Ring Etoricoxib belongs
to this category with good anti-inflammatory activity but causes severe risk to cardiovascular system (COX 2 IC 50 = 0.08 μM and COX 1 IC 50 = 12 μM) (Chauret et al.
2001) (Fig. 9.21).
