form a reactive N-ester (Kato and Yamazoe 1994).Carboxylic acids, particularly aromatic acids and aryl acetic acids, are conjugated with polar endogenous amino acids.
The quantity of amino acid conjugation is minute because of the limited availability
of amino acids in the body and competition with glucuronidation for carboxylic acid
