Deterministic and Stochastic Models of Biological Systems

essential to further progress. We may conjecture that current findings point
strongly to such a biological day. In such a case we should be turning our
minds and work toward that eventuality. In the meanwhile, like all theories
and models in science, including physics, validated simpler models are of
value until proved otherwise. But there appears to be no such thing as a complete or un modifiable or completely accurate or precise formulation of any
natural or physical phenomenon. Thus, when Dr. ARLEY cites quantum theory
as his standard for testing the ultimate validity of a mathematical model, I
wonder if this suggestion itself is not more heuristic or even artificial than
scientifically rigorous.
