Transformation of Bacteria with Recombinant Bacteriophage DNA
For transformation with bacteriophage DNA a male E. coli strain such as
JM101, JM103 or JM107 must be used. The procedure is the same for all of
these strains. We describe here the transformation with recombinant M13
DNA. You can also use other fllamentous phages such as fd or f 1 •

• 1M NaOH
• 20% glucose solution, sterile-flltered
