The onshore route from the Karst0 terminal via Vestre Bolm, as considered in the
EIA, would cross a small island called Ogn0y. This northernmost island in the municipality of Bokn was until a few years ago set aside for industrial purposes. However, no
industry was established on the island, and during the EIA process it became clear that
Ogn0y was an area with a number of different conservation interests. Ogn0y is registered by the regional nature conservation authorities (the County Governor of Rogaland)
as being among the 14 cultural landscape areas of highest conservation value in the
county (Fig. 8.3). The area is considered as a well-kept oceanic heather landscape of
