cases of such violation in urban development; several such cases are witnessed in
the city with the demand for land space increasing enormously. Other studies
(Helen, Yeo 2013) have reiterated the fact that that there is lack of awareness
among government officials on climate change, limited institutional coordination
regarding disaster assistance, government agencies have implemented preventive
measures over the years but the residents do not acknowledge them, there is relationship between income levels and vulnerability towards floods.
