B International System of Units
B.l Introduction
The mechanics of fluid is described by many functions and quantities which are
expressed in units. The most widely used system is the Systeme International
d 'Unites (International System of Units), commonly referred to as the SI or
Metric System. This Appendix describes the fundamental units and other
related units, as well as the conversion factors and other information relevant
to water studies.
