listed entries for useful information: indeed much of the information retrieved on the
Internet could be considered to be of little real value.
Whilst the design, structure and layout of many sites is helpful when looking
for information, many are unfortunately not, and even the most basic of information like
a contact address can become very hard to find, often proving to be very frustrating for
the end-user. Many sites are muddled and difficult to navigate, whilst others are simple,
'gimmick free' and include very clear labelling and navigation. Some sites comprise
largely static material, which may be updated very infrequently; a solution to this can be
through the provision of a noticeboard, or most recent update date on the main page that
highlights recent changes to the site.
