Description: It is a perennial species
with rhizomes that are elongated. Leaf

Leaf blade margins are scabrous.
Inflorescence is a panicle. Spikelets are
appressed and solitary. Fertile spikelets are pedicelled. Basal sterile florets
are similar, barren, without significant
