Hel-Extractable Mercury
Following the extraction with 0.07 N hydrochloric acid according to DIN EN 71,
Part 3, mercury is determined by means of CV AAS.
2.2.3
Soil Treatment with Digestive Model Juices
Digestive juices are complex mixtures of enzymes, lipids and electrolytes varying
in their composition in dependence on nutriments offered.
For the investigation of mercury compounds mobilized from soil samples, an
optimized formulation of digestive model juices (Table 1) containing mainly
natural compounds as mucin, pepsin, pancreatin and lyophilized bile was used
(Rotard et al. 1995).
