The
effects
of
the
time
interval between the
injection of PIM
(10 mg/kg) and LHRH—A (0.1 mg/kg) on ovulation in common carp are shown in
Table 2.
Injections of either PIM or LHRH—A alone failed to induce
ovulation.
Injections of PIM 3 hours or 6 hours prior to LHRH—A as well aS
simultaneous injections of PIM and LHRH—A result in a significant increase
in the
number of
fish which ovulate when compared to fish receiving PIM or
LHRH—A alone.
Injection of PIM 12 hours prior to LHRH—A failed to induce
ovulation.
