of efficient methods can we find? What we do know for sure is that it will not begin
until people start acting on their own accord. What we are aiming at is a platinum
society that is an autonomous, distributed, and collaborative system. With that
objective in mind, we have no choice but to experiment, even if we experience setbacks and leaps, and be determined to make progress among independent groups,
by exchanging information, presenting ideas, and structuring knowledge to create a
methodology that leads to success. At the very least, we need a group of people who
have decided to head in that direction. It is not clear specifically what the Platinum
Society Network can do, but for a start, people who are single-mindedly focused on
heading a platinum society have already come together to establish the Platinum
Society Network in August 2010 (Fig. 30). Its philosophy was established in the
initial 3 years, and specific activities were carried out in the following 3 years.
During this period, the initial membership of 46 groups expanded to 300. Going
forward, we intend to expand our membership pool. Of course, we cannot do this
alone. Fortunately, we have been able to strengthen collaboration with groups that
are aligned with our vision. In other words, ours is a “network of networks” that
boasts an action plan which applies to autonomous, distributed, and collaborative
systems.
My favorite words: “the best way to predict the future, is to actualize it.” Let’s
march toward a Platinum Society together.
