10.5 Discussion
In 2010, approximately 4.5% of the global palm oil production capacity was RSPOcertified, while in 2012 approximately this stood at 11% (RSPO 2012). Within the
following 5 years, final consumers from Europe had pledged to purchase at least
40% of their palm oil from RSPO-certified companies. One of the driving forces
