3 Industry Survey
The industry identified is M/S Vishal Packaging, manufacturer of corrugated sheets
and boxes which is located in Khamgaon, Maharashtra, India. The location of the
industry is shown in Fig. 14. The basic profile of the industry is given in Table 3. The
per-unit basic cost of these resources are shown in Table 4. As the rates may vary
owing to many factors, these rates are calculated for the financial year 2018–19. Also,
the rate of transport cannot be generalized as they are dependent on the variation of
vendors for different quantity of raw materials being supplied.
During the survey, the main raw material of the industry was identified as kraft
paper. The kraft paper of 16 BF is generally used for maximum purposes in the
industry. This kraft paper is of inferior quality which means the recycled paper used
by the industry contains weak fibres which signify that the fibres are recycled more
and more.
