take part in the study and the lack of representation from Government organisations
who could contribute due to time constraints. Data obtained from businesses were
validated through the information collected from Government organisations such as
EMCI and the Tourism Industry Council and written documents such as reports, but
further validation opportunities would have been desirable.

The findings from the research study conducted in Rarotonga were categorised under
“Disaster Risk Reduction”, “Business Resilience” and “Effective Implementation”,
following the format of the BBB Framework.
