Senja Laakso (Ph.D.) is a Postdoctoral Researcher at University of
Helsinki, Finland. Research interests: sustainable consumption, social practices and transition paths towards sustainable food and energy systems.
Kaisa Matschoss (Ph.D., Adjunct Professor) works as a university
researcher at University of Helsinki, Finland. Research interests: sustainable use of energy, experimentation and innovation in energy transition.
Annika-Kathrin Musch studied Geography at the University EichstättIngolstadt, Germany from 2008 until 2014 and deepened her understanding of economic geography and regional planning with study
visits at the University of Nottingham, UK, and the Matej Bel University
Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. She is a key member of the LMU-based
INoLA research team, investigating innovations for regional sustainable energy management using transdisciplinary participatory methods
and Living Lab techniques. Annika’s Ph.D. research focuses on planning,
processing and evaluating participation in transdisciplinary research, with
a view to identifying participatory practices that have empowering and
transformative potential.
Patrick Naef Anthropologist and geographer, is a senior research associate at the University of Geneva, looking at the transformation of cities,
energy efficiency and the critical approaches of resilience. He explored
these topics principally in Colombia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and
Switzerland. He is also collaborating with several community organisations
active in cultural and urban development. Patrick Naef obtained a Ph.D. in
geography at the University of Geneva in 2014. He was a visiting scholar
at the Department of Anthropology of UC-Berkeley from 2014 to 2016.
Maj-Britt Quitzau is Associate Professor at Aalborg University,
Copenhagen. She has an M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering and did
her Ph.D. on sociotechnical transformations of bathroom practices. Her
research is mainly related to sustainable transitions with special focus on
innovation processes in the building sector and urban planning. She has
a special interest in studying how strategic planning practices succeed in
impacting urban development, both with regards to technologies and
daily practices.
Henrike Rau is Professor of Social Geography and Sustainability
Research at LMU Munich. Her extensive research work to date has
addressed the topics of (un)sustainable consumption, mobility across the
